This is Why E-2 Investor Visas are Causing Millennials & Generation Z to Jump for Joy!

purple.JPGWith the rising popularity of Shark Tank, Creatives, Entrepreneurs & IPOs being lauded as lucrative career goals for young people; the ability to forge international business relationships has become invaluable. The reality is that young people connect with each other internationally every day, and they are starting to realize they're not bound within his or her own country when leveraging resources and strategic partnerships to launch a start-up company.

An E-2 Investor Visa is a bi-lateral treaty visa between the U.S. & a number of countries throughout the world that allows a Foreign National to invest and live in the United States. The Department of State (DOS) keeps an updated list of eligible treaty countries. It is not uncommon for our lawyers to see someone from the United Kingdom, Honduras or Ethiopia partnering with a U.S. company or U.S. citizen in a joint business venture that requires an investment as little as $25,000.00. In fact, the amount has little to do with our international clients being approved for an E-2 visa in the United States for an initial three to five year period. What matters is that the investment is an irrevocable commitment of funds that is not marginal to the investment, and is well capitalized for the business plan.

While the E-2 visa is highly complex and requires experienced professionals such as accountants and lawyers.... this visa has allowed Millennials and Generation Z to realize their dreams of a successful start-up!

Our immigration lawyers, highly recommend joint ventures for E-2 visa applicants, and encourage young and 'old' alike to not limit themselves and explore partnering with E-2 eligible business partners around the world. In an era where great ideas and novel disruptive technologies are now mainstream, the business goals we assist our clients with are tremendous and truly rewarding.
